Building a solid case . . .
The Epidemiology & Biostatistics Service Area is skilled at using data from multiple sources and of various types to aid in making business decisions based on the weight of sound epidemiologic evidence. We draw on three major sources to assemble this evidence: published articles and government reports; government survey databases and registries; and in-house studies conducted by the client (e.g., clinical trials, surveys, post-marketing studies, etc.). These data are used to assemble a clear, documented “package” of referenced materials that help support decisions, such as whether or not to pursue a product, license a compound, or apply for orphan drug status. The documents themselves can serve as components of regulatory submissions, economic dossiers for reimbursement and pricing and scientific and promotional communications.
